INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Detectives are investigating the shooting death of a man who was killed Friday on the northeast side.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to the 11400 block of Silver Drift Way after 6 p.m. to the report of a person shot.
When officers arrived to the scene they found a black man in his car with a gunshot wound. The victim’s child was also in the vehicle when the suspect fired at least five shots striking the victim an unknown number of times, according to IMPD.
The victim was transported the IU Health Methodist Hospital where he died.
The suspect is described as a black male in his late 20s to early 30s, wearing a white shirt and shorts. He has what is described as a short dreadlock hairstyle and is believed to be armed and dangerous.
