INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - An auto shop worker was pinned between a vehicle and a wall Sunday afternoon when his co-worker mistakenly hit the gas of the car.

Police and fire crews were called to the auto shop located at the Wal-Mart on the 7200 block of U.S. 31 South around 1:45 p.m.

An officer in the area says he heard screaming and ran over to the auto shop.

There he found an employee of the auto shop had been standing in front of a vehicle. Another employee was behind the wheel and became confused by the controls of the handicap converted vehicle.

The employee then mistakenly hit the gas, causing the car to drive forward, pinning his co-worker between the car and a wall.

The victim was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries. Authorities at the scene say he suffered possible broken bone below his knee.
