INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - An Indianapolis man has died from injuries he sustained in a one-vehicle crash on East Michigan Street on Sunday morning.

Police said 38-year-old James Radford Jr. was heading west on Michigan Street and apparently lost control of his Ford Explorer and struck a utility pole shortly before 8 a.m. Sunday in the 900 block of East Michigan Street. Investigators believe he was traveling at a high rate of speed.

According to police reports, Radford was taken to Wishard Memorial Hospital, where he died.
