INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - An Indianapolis man was shot while trying to fix his car which had broken down on the city’s east side early Wednesday morning, police said.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department detectives were at two scenes collecting evidence and talking with witnesses Wednesday morning.
IMPD said around 4:30 a.m. the 32-year-old male was working on his car that had broken down at East 30th Street and North Emerson Avenue when another vehicle pulled up and the driver fired several shots at the man.
One bullet struck the victim in the arm. Several other bullets struck his car.
The victim fled to a nearby gas station to call for help.
The victim is reported to be in good condition and told police he knew the man who shot him.
Police are searching for that suspect.
