INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Police say a shooting Monday morning on the city's northeast side left two men injured and in the hospital.
Investigators found the first shooting victim in the 2900 block of Andrew J. Brown, near the Douglass Golf Course.
The victim was transported to IU Health Methodist Hospital and was breathing, but unresponsive. His condition was not immediately known.
Officers then learned a possible suspect had gone into a nearby home.
They quickly began their search and obtained a search warrant for a home in the 2900 block of Arsenal Avenue.
During their search, two people exited the home and told police another man was shot inside.
Officers went inside and found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to Wishard Hospital in serious condition.
Police say they do not know what prompted the shooting.
Homicide detectives were called to the scene to investigate.
The names of the victims have not been released.
