INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Metro Police arrested dozens of downtown protesters Thursday night, even though police say the group was peaceful.
Nearly 100 demonstrators spent an hour outside the Hyatt hotel at 50 South Capitol Avenue, protesting working conditions and contracting. Their protest was part of a 15-city movement.
There were similar protests last year, as well.
Police say even though the demonstration was peaceful, they arrested 41 people for blocking the public sidewalk. Of the 31, police say eight were taken to jail for processing due to the fact that they lived outside the seven surrounding counties.
