100-year-old woman: Doctor fondled me

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The sexual battery case against an Indianapolis doctor appears to be growing.

A third woman came forward and told police she was fondled by her family doctor, Dr. Segun Rasaki.

Rasaki was arrested Monday on charges of sexual battery and battery.

During an interview with 24-Hour News 8, Dr. Rasaki denied any wrongdoing saying he never touched a patient in an inappropriate way.

The doctor, who proudly speaks of his family, said this about some of his patients, "When they are not happy they go out and make up all kinds of stories."

24-Hour News 8 looked into Rasaki's background. According to police, since 2008, nine women have filed police reports against the doctor. In each case, the patient or former patient told investigators Rasaki fondled or touched her inappropriately during an office visit.

One woman, a 100 year old patient told police Rasaki "fondled her ... and made her feel uncomfortable and scared."

Another former patient, who asked not to be identified, told her story to 24-Hour News 8. She says a routine office visit in 2008 ended with her going to police.

"When he did the cervical check he used his thumb to mess with other parts, sexually," she said.

A third woman told police when she went to see Dr. Rasaki last year for an ankle injury he fondled her breasts.

Searching through police records, 24 Hour News 8 found repeated allegations of fondling and inappropriate touching of patients; One in 2008, two in 2009, two in 2010 and four in 2011.

With the investigation still ongoing, police won't comment on why it took so long before charges were filed against the doctor.

The DEA and the Indiana Attorney's General office are also investigating Dr. Rasaki.

In January the State revoked the doctor's license that allows him to prescribe medications. On March 23, the State Licensing Board will determine whether or not to suspend the doctor's medical license.
