INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A 25-year-old woman is dead and three others hurt in a shooting Friday night on the city's near north east side.
Officers say family and friends were gathered at a home in the 3200 block of North New Jersey Street, to celebrate the life of a recently deceased relative.
Witnesses say about 10:30 p.m. someone began firing a gun into the crowd multiple times outside of the home.
Officers say that multiple weapons were used included a high powered rifle.
Four people were wounded.
Sierra Bradberry, 25, of Indianapolis was sitting inside the home next to her infant, when she was shot in the chest. Bradberry was taken to Wishard Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
A 47-year-old male was also taken to Wishard Hospital with a gunshot wound to the stomach.
A 41-year-old male taken to IU Health Methodist Hospital with a gunshot wound to the lower back.
A 25-year-old female suffered a graze wound to the left chest, but was treated and released at the scene.
Due to the large gathering of family and friends, an IndyGo bus was called to help assist, and transported approximately 39 witnesses to the Homicide office to be interviewed.
Police are still looking for suspects in this case.
