INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - We've seen it happen before, but today, there were some guardian angels to help save one feathered family.

It happened in the 6200 block of Broad Ripple Avenue. The mother duck was walking across the street, but her 13 little babies fell through the cracks of a storm drain.

One woman heard them and rushed to help. Pretty soon, several neighbors joined in the rescue effort.

They managed to get all 13 ducklings out using duct tape and a grabber claw. Then they herded the family toward the White River, where they all swam away.
