INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A popular chocolate milk powder was recalled on Thursday.
Nestle USA announced a voluntary recall of limited quantities of Nestle NESQUIK Chocolate Powder.
The recall is of the 10.9, 21.8, and 40.7 ounce containers.
Nestle says the nationwide recall is only for NESQUIK Chocolate Powder. None of Nestle’s other products are affected.
There have been no reports of illness due to the intake of this product.
The recall is due to a possible presence of Salmonella in the ingredient calcium carbonate. The affected product was produced in early Oct. 2012 and has an expiration date of Best Before Oct. 2014.
