INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) -
Police departments around the state will be out in full force Monday night looking for drunk drivers and dealing with the effects of the snowfall. But there are ways to avoid getting behind the wheel this New Year's Eve.
They will cover the first $20 of your ride home. But you need to have print out voucher ahead of time from their website .
The vouchers will be good in downtown Indianapolis and Broad Ripple - but they can only be used for rides home or to a hotel, not to another bar or restaurant.
The companies offering the vouchers encourage patience due to the high demand for cabs on New Year's Eve.
AAA motor clubs in other parts of the country offer what they call the Tipsy Tow program, which offers free towing and rides home on New Year's Eve, but it's not offered here in Indiana.
