INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Former Butler Basketball player Ronald Nored spoke at the NCAA Hall of Champions on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Nored read stories to Children and talked about his experience as an NCAA athlete at the Hall of Champions Monday. Visitors were admitted free of charge if they brought a canned food item.

In addition to Nored's presentation, guests were able to learn more about NCAA Championship History through the screening of "Game of Change." The documentary looks at the significance of basketball in the struggle for racial equality.

"Having a former student-athlete like Ronald Nored come to the NCAA Hall of Champions and promote education on Martin Luther King Jr. Day gives children a great opportunity to see and talk to someone who has been successful in the classroom and in competition," said Kelly Dodds, assistant director of the NCAA Hall of Champions.

Nored played guard for the Butler Bulldogs from 2008-2012 and helped the BUlldogs reach back-to-back Final Fours. He graduated from Butler in 2012 with a degree in education and is now the basketball coach at Brownsburg High School.
