Body found in car after fire, homicide detectives investigating

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Officials say a body was found inside a burned-out car Monday night.

Just after 10:30 p.m., firefighters were called to the 3700 block of LaSalle Street to put out a vehicle fire. Police officers were sent to the scene around 10:51 p.m. to assist.

Once the fire was out, they found a body inside the vehicle.

Homicide detectives have been called to the scene and have taken over the investigation.

IMPS is asking anyone with information on this incident to please call IMPD at 327-3811 or Crime Stoppers at 317-262-tips.
