Officials to learn of identity theft

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A free identity theft summit will be held in Indianapolis Thursday for law enforcement officials.

The FBI Law Enforcement Executive Department Association and LifeLock will present a free, one-day identity theft summit that will bring local, regional, and state law enforcement officials together to develop a better understanding of the crime that is identity theft, according to a release.

The award-winning educational summit is hosted by the Indiana Attorney General’s office.

During the summit, participants will be given real case information on how law enforcement can combat this crime.

Instruction will also be provided into the various generations of identity theft in addition to information on new scams and what the most effective investigative strategies are.
