INDIANAPOLIS, IN (WISH) - Police say an overnight shooting killed one young man, injured another and bullets from the incident hit a nearby fire station. Now, IMPD detectives are looking for suspects.

The shooting happened near 30th and Capitol, just north of downtown.  Firefighters from IFD Station 14 say they heard shots being fired just before midnight, and came out to find two people on the ground.

Police say 21-year-old Tavein Brashear was pronounced dead at the scene.  19-year-old Jarrett Hall was shot in the leg and transported to Wishard Memorial Hospital in good condition.

Bullets also struck the fire station, shattering some windows.  No one inside was hurt.

IFD Lt. Larry Tracy,  "One bullet entered through the stairway window and one entered through a training room.  Fortunately, at that time of the evening there was no one in training room."

Detectives believe that the victims were walking eastbound on 30th Street, when they were shot by someone in a dark-colored vehicle.

Anyone with information is asked to call IMPD.
