INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Two people were hospitalized after their semitrailer lost control and landed in the water along a Indianapolis highway.
This happened around 11 o'clock Tuesday night on westbound Interstate 465 near East Street.
Indiana State Police say a minivan collided with a semi when the minivan tried to change lanes.
The semi lost control and landed in the ditch in the median.
Dive crews were called to rescue two adults who were trapped inside the semi's cab, which was partially submerged in water.
They were taken to IU Health Methodist Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
A lane of westbound I-465 was closed for several hours overnight as crews removed the semi.
Around 6:30 a.m., ISP officials suspended the operation. Crews were expected to return to clean up the rest of the crash after the morning rush.
