INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - One person died and two others were seriously hurt in an overnight crash that shut down part of Interstate 465.

It was around midnight when officers say two cars collided on an exit ramp from I-465 to Kentucky Avenue. The cars ended up in a ditch.

Two people were taken to a local hospital in critical condition. The ramp was closed for several hours into Thursday morning as a result of the crash, but has since reopened.

It’s unclear what or who caused the accident.

Police officials have not released any additional information about the victims.
