INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Police have identified the person who was killed in a fatal hit and run accident.
Officials say 63-year-old Kathleen J. Clark died after being hit by a vehicle on the south side of Indianapolis, and the body was discovered on Monday.
Emergency crews were sent to the area of South Meridian Street and West Troy Avenue around 11:30 a.m. Monday.
Police believe Clark was walking south on S. Meridian Street in the westbound lanes when she was struck by an oncoming vehicle. Investigators believe Clark was struck earlier, but are still waiting on confirmation from the coroner. Officials collected surveillance video from the scene and are still working to determine an exact timeline of the incident.
Officials are now looking for a light colored Ford F 150 truck with a camper shell. The vehicle may be missing a head lamp from the right side.
Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 317-262-8477.
