Pedestrian struck, killed in Lawrence

LAWRENCE, Ind. (WISH) - Officials say a pedestrian was struck and killed in Lawrence early Sunday morning.

Lawrence Police PIO Sgt. Kathy Trout says a man was walking down the middle of East 46th Street near Kingsboro and Burwood around midnight. This is in the 9300 block of East 46th Street.

Trout says a female driver was traveling down 46th Street and didn't see the pedestrian, causing her to hit him.

The man was pronounced dead on scene. Officials are still working to notify the family of the victim, therefore the person's name has not yet been released.
