INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department responded to an accident on the city's north side Saturday night where a pedestrian was struck.
The accident happened on the 2900 block of Tropical Drive shortly before 10:30 p.m.
Dispatchers say the pedestrian was hit and the accident was possibly fatal, however a condition has not yet been released. Our crew on scene reported there were no street lights in the area.
Police tell 24-Hour-News 8 that the driver of the vehicle submitted to a blood draw, which is standard procedure when a pedestrian is struck.
The incident happened between Allisonville Road and Keystone Avenue.
A second accident happened just an hour later in the area of North College Avenue and East 91st Street.
A pedestrian was struck just before 11:30 p.m. The victim suffered broken legs and a broken collar bone. A condition has not yet been released.
