Person struck and killed on I-65 ramp

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A person walking on an Interstate 65 ramp was struck by a Marion County Sheriff's Department van late Sunday night and died, police said.

The Indiana Department of Transportation alerted drivers that the ramp of southbound I-65 was closed near 29th Street and 30th Street due to a crash near the 115-mile marker.

No information about the victim was available.
