INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Firefighters took 10 minutes to get a trapped pickup driver out of his truck after an accident on the east side Thursday morning.
Indianapolis Fire Department officials said the accident is under investigation by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department. It happened around 8:52 a.m. in the 2400 block of North Shadeland Avenue.
The pickup and a Trinity Metals truck with a dumpster collided in the northbound lanes. The drive of the pickup was taken to Wishard Memorial Hospital to be checked out. The other driver declined medical treatment.
