INDIANAPOIS (WISH) - A Delta airplane was diverted to the Indianapolis International Airport Saturday after a woman on board died.
At 1:04 p.m., passenger Penny Smith, 57, of Washington, died on board of an airplane after she stopped breathing, an Indianapolis Metropolitan Police report said.
Her husband, Richard Smith, told the flight attendant that Penny wasn’t feeling well and has a serious medical condition. Medics and doctors aboard the plane tried to resuscitate her but weren’t able to do so.
The investigation is on-going.
