INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - IMPD are on the scene of a car that landed upside down in a creek after a police chase Saturday evening.

According to police, the chase began after police noticed a suspicious vehicle near Harding Street and Howard Street.

Police stated they ran the plates of the vehicle and realized the car matched a vehicle reported stolen earlier Saturday morning.

The vehicle reached speeds up to 60 miles per hour during the chase before police pitted the car at Lyons and Kentucky Avenue.

The driver tried to overcorrect the car, causing it to slide across five lanes of traffic before landing upside down in the ditch.

The driver was transported to Wishard with minor injuries.
