Police chase ends when car crashes

LAWRENCE, Ind. (WISH) - An officer’s attempt to pull over a vehicle turned into a police chase that ended with the vehicle crashing, police officials say.

It happened early Friday morning in Lawrence. Police say the chase started near Oaklandon when an officer tried to pull over the man for reckless driving. Officers say the man took off and lost control, crashing near Pendleton Pike and Post Road.

The man wasn’t seriously hurt. Police say he has a criminal history.

His name wasn’t immediately released.
