INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Early Friday morning, officials located a cow that was on the run for several hours.

Officers from IMPD and troopers from Indiana State Police were on the south side of the city Thursday night tracking a cow that was on the run.

Police say residents in neighborhoods on the south side reported seeing a cow earlier in the evening.

Authorities say it escaped from its corral on South Bluff Road.

At one point, the cow was spotted in the 4200 block of South Meridian Street.

The cow was eventually located after midnight and was taken back to its home in the 4200 block of Bluff Road.
