INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The driver of a box truck that rear-ended a school bus Thursday has been cited for texting while driving, police confirmed Friday.

The bus was stopped at a railroad crossing near the intersection of 82nd Street and Zionsville Road on Thursday afternoon when the Piazza Produce truck struck it. Several children were taken to an area hospital to be checked after the crash, but all injuries were minor.

Pike schools police Chief Al Kasper said the driver of the truck was cited. The bus driver was not.
