Police ID woman found dead in White River near Broad Ripple

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Police have identified the woman found dead in the White River just north of Broad Ripple Tuesday morning.

Robin Kirschner, 55, of Indianapolis, was found by a passerby on the Monon Trail, officials from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said Wednesday.

Autopsy results reveal Kirschner died from blunt force trauma to the head, and toxicology results are still pending. IMPD detectives do not suspect foul play in her death.

Kirschner was the second person found dead in water around Broad Ripple in just more than a week. A man was found dead in the Broad Ripple canal last week. He was identified as Gregory Jarrett .
