Man shot on northeast side

INDIANAPOLIS, IN.(WISH) - Police are investigating a shooting on the city's north east side.
It happened Monday afternoon in the 26-hundred block of Hyche Avenue.
Detectives say a man was shot twice in the chest.
Police say he was alert and breathing as he was taken to the hospital.
Right now there is no update on the case.
