INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Police are looking for a man that may have been involved in a sexual assault in Irvington over the weekend.

Detectives handed out a flyer in Irvington with a sketch of a man wanted for questioning in reference to a rape that was reported on Saturday morning around 7:00.

Officer Kendale Adams with IMPD says police were called to 55 S. Audobon Street on a report of a 15-year-old saying she’d been sexually assaulted. Police don’t believe the victim knew her attacker.

Meanwhile, people in the community are talking, because neighborhood watch captains sent out an email warning people there had been three possible sexual assaults over the past few days in the area.

Also, the Irvington Facebook group was abuzz Tuesday evening with talk of the alleged sexual assault.

Bryan Taylor, who’s lived in Irvington since 1990, says he found out about everything on Facebook. He says Irvington has come far from 20 years ago as far as crime, but he feels the city needs to do more.

Police say there may be some misinformation out there.

At this point, Adams says they’re looking for the man pictured in regards to the one sexual assault that was reported Saturday morning on South Audobon. Police say they don't believe the other two incidents are related to this one.
