INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Indianapolis Metropolitan police detectives are looking for a suspect in a fatal shooting at a Castleton Motel early Thursday morning.
Police identified the suspect as 41-year-old Brian Fegley of Indianapolis. Fegley is believed to be driving a maroon 2004 Ford Focus with an Indiana license plate of 914ETL.
Police say the suspect should be considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached or confronted by anyone other than law enforcement.
Around 1:15 a.m. Thursday, police were dispatched to the Free Spirit Lounge at the Dollar Inn in the 8100 block of North Shadeland Avenue on a 911 call of a person shot.
When officers arrived, they found a male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim, Elisha McAfee, 33, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Witnesses told police an argument ensued between the suspect and the victim just prior to the shooting and the suspect knew the victim.
According to a police report, suspect lives with the victim's mother in Lake Castleton Apartments.
Investigators are continuing to talk with witnesses and forensics personnel are processing the crime scene.
