Poll: Majority supports state-federal controlled health care

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Our exclusive new poll shows Hoosiers disagree with governor-elect Mike Pence on a campaign issue.
The issue is who should create a health insurance exchange, an online insurance marketplace, which is part of the new health care reform law.
Indiana had 3 options: choose a state run exchange, allow the federal government to create it or work with the federal government on a so-called hybrid exchange.
Pence has said he refuses to create a state-run exchange which means Indiana will operate one set up by the federal government.
But the results of the WISH-TV / Ball State University Hoosier Survey show 50 percent of Hoosiers want the state and federal government to work together to create the hybrid health insurance exchange. 26 percent wanted Indiana to create its own. 21 percent of those polled agree with Pence who refused the requirement.
Pence campaigned on both opposition to Obamacare and a state-run exchange.
