INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A recent report by the American Farm Bureau Federation says the average price of a traditional Thanksgiving dinner rose slightly in 2012.

Our sister station WTHI reports the price of a classic Thanksgiving dinner rose 28 cents from the average price in 2011. The "classic" dinner consists of turkey, store-bought dressing, yams, and various other items.

Despite the increase in cost, the price increase is small compared to other price increases across the country.

Officials say the traditional Thanksgiving dinner will cost about $49.48.
