INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The Buddy Walk was held Saturday morning at White River State Park.
The annual walk is Down Syndrome Indiana’s premier fundraising and awareness event and is held each October during Down Syndrome Awareness month.
24-Hour News 8’s Eric Halvorson emceed the event.
John Gregg and Tony Bennett participated in the opening festivities.
According to Down Syndrome Indiana's website, this year’s goal was set at $300,000 for corporate and team sponsorships. Proceeds from the walk will help fund Down Syndrome Indiana programs and services that help individuals with Down syndrome and their families.
