Robotics competition kicks off in Indy

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Saturday, Bankers Life Fieldhouse will be the host of a a city-wide robotics competition.

Students from about 40 Indianapolis high schools will be in attendance to compete. Winners of the Indianapolis competition will represent Indiana at the world championship. More than 700 teams from around the country and 20 other countries attend the world championship.

The event is free and sponsored by the City of Indianapolis.

The competition wraps up Sunday with the crowning of the robotics champion.
