INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The Cumberland Police Department teamed up with runners and walking groups of the Cumberland area today for a 5K walk or run.
The event was originally held to donate money to the Cumberland Police Department’s K-9 unit. After Fortville Police officer Matthew Fox was shot and seriously injured on July 27, the group decided they would donate a portion of the proceeds to Officer Fox and his family, according to a release.
Officer Fox and his family started the run that took place on the Pennsy Trail located behind the Meijer at 11351 E. Washington St.
