SPEEDWAY, Ind. (WISH) - Smoke was visible outside of Indianapolis Motor Speedway Friday afternoon, as race fans took to the stands for a weekend of races.
Officials said an RV caught fire outside of the track, near 17th Street and Georgetown Avenue.
No one was injured, and after the fire was extinguished, the owners of the RV went back to the track.
Fire officials didn’t immediately know the cause of the fire, though the RV was parked near power lines.
Race fans could see smoke from the stands inside the track.
