INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Monon Trail on East 91st Street is popular destination for many during the summer. But some question the safety along that stretch.
The trail crosses over a busy roadway, and though there are several signs telling drivers to yield and telling pedestrians to stop before crossing the street, one area resident said that's not sufficient.
"I don't think there is enough," said Anita Lyon, referring to the signage. She said it's a problem waiting to happen.
But others using the trail didn't seem to have the same complaints.
"I think the signs are sufficient," said one man on the trail Wednesday. "There is yellow flashing lights, telling people to slow down. Those who miss it are not paying attention."
Indy Parks noted there are plenty of signs in the area warning drivers, and they urged all in the area to obey the signs.
