INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department confirms a school bus was involved in an accident on the city's west side just before 7 a.m. Monday morning.

The incident happened near the intersection of 46th and High School Road. Officials say the bus was hit while trying to pull out of an apartment complex. The bus then over-corrected and struck another vehicle.

There is one reported injury at this time.

Dispatchers say students were not on the bus at the time of the incident.

Several cars were damaged in the accident, however, the bus was unharmed and able to drive away.

46th Street was closed for a bit following the accident, those lanes are now open.
