Search called off after AM police chase

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A suspect managed to elude Indianapolis Metropolitan Police early Friday morning, prompting police to search the Westlane Middle School campus.

Police say the chase started around 2:30 a.m. when the driver took off from a traffic stop in the 5400 Block of Kessler Boulevard.

The driver ditched the car in a wooded area near the school prompting the search; but the trail there went cold.

The vehicle in the chase was traced back to Anderson, Ind.
