INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The Indianapolis Fire Department responded to an accident on Interstate 65 to the report of an accident shortly before 5 p.m. Sunday.
The accident happened half a mile north of County Line Road near mile marker 100.
When crews arrived they found a silver Suzuki that was heading northbound on I-65 had overturned. The 54-year-old driver was extricated in ten minutes and was taken to Wishard Memorial Hospital with slight injuries.
A flatbed semi truck heading northbound on I-65 had also overturned. The 64-year-old driver was checked out at the scene. His travelling companion, a Chihuahua puppy named Picanya, was OK.
Witnesses say the driver of the Suzuki crossed into the center lane, in front of the semi, causing the semi to run off the road and flip.
The crash is currently under investigation by Indiana State Police.
