INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Indiana State Police said a semi hauling a boat struck the Allisonville Road overpass of Interstate 465 on Wednesday afternoon, prompting traffic restrictions.

Two westbound lanes at about the 35-mile marker were closed as of about 4 p.m., and restrictions were expected to last for up to two hours, according to INDOT.

As of about 4 p.m., ISP reported no restriction of Allisonville traffic traveling the overpass that was struck, although INDOT workers and ISP troopers were being sent to the scene for further investigation.

As of about 4:30 p.m., INDOT reported traffic was stopped all the way back to the 56th Street / Shadeland Avenue exit near the 40-mile marker on I-465, and was slow even farther south, to Brookville Road.
