Semi, pickup collide on I-65; Northbound lanes now open

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A collision between a semitrailer and a pickup truck had all northbound lanes of Interstate 65 closed Monday afternoon on the northwest side.

Indiana State Police officials said there were minor injuries.

The crash is at the 121-mile marker, which is near Lafayette Road.

The road opened after 8 pm after INDOT and others examined the roadway.

The semi was carrying steel coils and an inspection needed to be made to ensure the road was was safe for motorists.
