INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - One person was rushed to an Indianapolis Hospital in critical condition Thursday morning following a serious crash that closed the 52nd Street intersection with Allisonville Road.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department spokesman Kendale Adams tells 24-Hour News 8 that two other people were also taken to the hospital following the three car crash.

One of the drivers, identified as Jamal Moore, 31, told officers he had been drinking earlier in the morning, Adams said in a news release. Officers later arrested Moore on related charges.

Accident investigators believe Moore’s SUV was traveling northbound on Allisonville Road when it crossed the centerline and collided with a Ford SUV heading southbound on Allisonville Road. Moore and the driver of the Ford SUV, Darice Jones, 27, were both taken to area hospitals in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries.

The passenger in Moore’s SUV, 34-year-old Joseph Reese, was rushed to Wishard Hospital in critical condition. Thursday afternoon, his condition was upgraded to serious condition. He's being kept in intensive care.
