INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - 24-Hour News 8 has learned Indianapolis will make a bid to host another Super Bowl.

The official announcement is expected on Wednesday, when a news conference is planned to discuss the economic impact of the city’s first Super Bowl.

Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard’s spokesman, Marc Lotter, would only say officially on Tuesday that the city is looking at the possibility of another Super Bowl bid and would weigh the pros and cons of doing it again.

The next available Super Bowl is 2016, but it’s unclear if that is the one for which the city will make its bid.

24-Hour News 8 will have coverage of the news conference scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday on WISHTV.com and live at noon on WISH-TV.
