INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A Southport High School student was arrested Thursday for bringing a “realistic-looking” toy gun to the school.

Perry Township school officials say the 14-year-old was arrested for disorderly conduct.

The district reports the student has been suspended and faces expulsion.

A note from the district read “In Perry Township we take all reports of guns very seriously. Behavior such as this will not be tolerated and will be dealt with swiftly.“
