SPEEDWAY, Ind. (WISH) - A 16-year-old Speedway student was arrested last week after several witnesses said he threatened to shoot two of his classmates, police said.
Investigators said the teen had become angry and aggressive on Friday because he believed the two other students had accused him of selling marijuana and had told school staff that as well.
Multiple witnesses told police the teen had threatened to bring his gun to Speedway High School and also to break in to one of the other students’s houses and shoot him.
One teacher, Andrew Willis, told police he saw the 16-year-old becoming aggressive with his classmates heard him ordering them to "keep your mouth shut." After Willis intervened, the student then began threatening the teacher, according to police reports.
The 16-year-old was arrested on three preliminary charges of intimidation.
