INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Numerous community groups have been calling for the resignation of Director of Public Safety Frank Straub in light of the botched investigation involving Officer David Bisard.

Straub’s office released a statement Thursday indicating his refusal to step down:

"Director Straub is committed to making the Department of Public Safety and the IMPD the best in the nation, and will continue leading the Department toward that goal."
