Stone Temple Pilots added to Final Four concert series

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The Stone Temple Pilots have been added to the Final Four weekend concert series at White River State Park.

The Grammy-award winning rockers will kick off the The Big Dance with their performance scheduled for Friday night.

STP will debut songs off their new self-titled album "Stone Temple Pilots" which is due in stores on May 25, according to a press release.

"We are all so excited about heading into Indianapolis! Glad to see they are hosting the NCAA finals again," Dean DeLeo, guitarist for Stone Temple Pilots, is quoted in the release. "It's a great city they have there, and we dig the Colts, too!"

The Big Dance is a three-day concert series scheduled for Final Four weekend (April 2-4) in downtown Indianapolis.

Other artists scheduled to participate in the series include four-time Grammy winners the Goo Goo Dolls, 2009 Country Music Association New Artist of the Year award winner Darius Rucker and former American Idol finalist and 2007 Billboard Album of the Year artist Daughtry.
