LAWRENCE, Ind. (WISH) - The suspect involved in Wednesday morning's SWAT situation in Lawrence has killed himself.
The Indianapolis Police Department obtained a search warrant for the residence on Leone Drive where the suspect in this morning's aggravated assault was believed to be held up.
Upon entering the residence, the SWAT team found Courtney Sarver deceased from what is believed to be a self inflicted gun-shot wound, according to a release.
The Coroner has been called the scene.
IMPD first responded to the 4700 block of Sadlier Drive Wednesday morning on the report of a person shot.
After a Sarver confronted his ex-girlfriend and her boyfriend, Steven Tam, shots were fired, and the suspect held himself up in a garage in Lawrence.
According to the IMPD, the man confronted his ex-girlfriend, Kiona Leland and Tam this morning at 7:37 a.m.
Sarver shot Tam, hitting him in the chest.
When police arrived to the scene they found Tam with a gunshot wound to his chest and Leland with lacerations to her face.
Tam was taken to Wishard Memorial Hospital and is in stable condition. Leland was also taken to Wishard and is in serious condition.
Police say Leland was assaulted with a boat oar, which was recovered at the crime scene by an Evidence Technician along with a handgun, according to a release.
Just after 9 a.m. Sarver was reportedly inside of a garage. The Lawrence SWAT team and the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were on the scene.
The St. Lawrence Catholic School lockdown from earlier has been lifted. Brook Park Early Learning Center and Brook Park Elementary's lockdowns have also been lifted.
It was reported just before 11:30 a.m. that Sarver had killed himself.
